We believe that the North of Iceland has something for everyone, stunning landscapes are a given but it is just far enough away from the tourist hot spots to give you a different view of Iceland. Of course there are the huge waterfalls and statement locations within short distance but there is so much more. Winding coastal roads, black sand beaches, amazing flora and fauna and of course thousands of Icelandic Horses.

Having 2 vehicles and our extensive experience, we can cater for landscape, nature, astro and macro photographers easily and can get you to locations you won’t see in every other photographer’s Iceland portfolio.

There are thousands of locations to chose from, we discuss these every evening and plan the following days activities as a group. Locations can include any of the following…

  • Waterfalls- Dettifoss, Goðafoss, Hrafnabjargafoss, Aldeyjarfoss
  • Eyjafjörður
  • The northern Highlands
  • Mývatn lake
  • Active geology
  • Ásbyrgi canyon
  • Black sand beaches
  • Skagafjörður
  • Icelandic livestock
  • Whale watching
  • Hot springs

We have the flexibility to stop wherever and whenever we want; if there’s a stunning location on the side of the road then we will take advantage of it, flexibility and a sense of adventure are key to producing the best photographs.

Whilst these trips are not dedicated to aurora photography, we will of course monitor aurora forecasts and weather, with clear nights and high probability of northern lights, we will absolutely be there, both guides have years of experience teaching on aurora workshops.
